I'm just your average Millennial, obsessed with staying home, binge-watching Parks & Rec and drinking all the Diet Coke in the house. I am a lover of Israel Diaz, female led businesses and long flowy dresses.
Welcome to my home on the internet where we talk life, theology, womanhood, marriage and work.
I met Janelle the summer I was going to enter high school. Her sister, Mary, and I had been introduced through a mutual friend and Mary was kind enough to invite me over to her house so that I would have a friend BEFORE the first day of school. Walking up to Mary’s room, we ran into her little sister, Janelle, in the hallway. She was full of life, joy, and spunk – it was impossible not to just love her. Janelle was always dancing, always laughing, and brightening every room she walked into. So, when she told me that she was engaged I knew that this man had to be someone very special.
I met up with Adam and Janelle in La Jolla for their engagement session and these two were so vibrant, so at peace in each other’s presence, and so much fun to be around. With infectious smiles and playful spirits, we dodged crowds of swimmers and rock-jumping tourists for an epic San Diego sunset session. There was something so grounded about these two. They weren’t hurried, or stressed, or trying to keep up with anyone when it came to how they were celebrating their marriage. They were so effortlessly themselves, so unworried, so trusting. And despite the pastel pink sky, it was that grounded love between them, that faith in one another that really took my breath away.
Here’s a sneak peek at their La Jolla engagement session:
I am wishing all the best to the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. and you can catch me rooting for Janelle and Adam for the rest of time. Now, tell me, DID YOU SEE THAT SUNSET? We were slightly worried that the weather was not going to cooperate especially since the first time we had scheduled, a literal HURRICANE came to San Diego. The morning of our rescheduled session, the clouds were gray and it was drizzling. I was watching my weather app like a hawk and hoped it was accurate in saying it would clear up by sunset and it sure did. A pastel-pink sky is my love language and I was STOKED to see it take shape toward the last part of our session.
Talk soon, friends!
Let's be friends!
