I'm just your average Millennial, obsessed with staying home, binge-watching Parks & Rec and drinking all the Diet Coke in the house. I am a lover of Israel Diaz, female led businesses and long flowy dresses.
Welcome to my home on the internet where we talk life, theology, womanhood, marriage and work.
To put things in perspective, Kierstin and Michael made the drive from Anaheim on a Sunday afternoon to take the couples photos they never got, and when they arrived and met me in the parking lot of our session location, Kierstin hands me a box of chocolate chip cookies. Y’all know I’m a sucker for chocolate chip cookies. In the midst of what I’m sure was a somewhat stressing pre-session morning, Kierstin and Michael had stopped to think of me, stopped to extend a welcome to me. And if that doesn’t tell you the kinds of thoughtful, kind, and gracious people they are then allow me to elaborate.
I hadn’t met Kierstin or Michael until our session. Kierstin is a friend of a friend who reached out because she was craving some updated photos of her and her husband. She felt like a close friend within seconds (and no, not just because of the cookies). Kierstin is warm, and kind. She’s a soft spot that makes you feel instantly cozy in her presence. Her husband, Michael is vibrant and full of life and joy — a triathlon competitor, Michael was one of those guys who was kind of a big deal but never expected you to think so.
I just loved watching the two of them interact. Despite all the nerves that a photo session can bring up, Kierstin and Michael were obvious supports to each other. They played and they trusted — both in one another, and together in doing something new. There was something about their dynamic that made me feel at home and our golden hour session was the perfect backdrop to capture their beautiful relationship. Here is a sneak peek at Kierstin and Michael’s Signature Session:
I absolutely loved getting to meet and work with this couple at one of my all-time favorite locations that was looking SO beautiful during our session! I hope you loved this sneak peek as much as I did.
Until next time, friends!
Let's be friends!
