When Nathan direct messaged me on Instagram, I really hoped it was because he was planning to ask Marie a very important question. I’d gone to high school with the pair of them and gotten to watch their love for one another grow over the years so, I was ecstatic to open the message and see that my inclination was right – he was going to propose!

I felt so grateful to be able to capture the moment Nathan proposed to Marie. We set up a time for a later date where we’d plan an engagement session and this past week, we finally got to do it! I was thrilled when Nathan and Marie said they wanted to do their engagement session at Balboa Park. I absolutely love Balboa Park. There’s no other place in San Diego with the kind of architecture and culture you can find there. With the plethora of museums and diverse crowds that gather, it is such a beautiful gem that our city has to offer its residents.
