I'm just your average Millennial, obsessed with staying home, binge-watching Parks & Rec and drinking all the Diet Coke in the house. I am a lover of Israel Diaz, female led businesses and long flowy dresses.
Welcome to my home on the internet where we talk life, theology, womanhood, marriage and work.
Heather is one of the strongest women I know. That’s not hyperbole, and it’s not an exaggeration, it’s just true. I’ve known Heather since, well, honestly, I don’t really know how long. Her youngest sister and I went to preschool together, her brother went to high school with my second oldest sister, she went to high school with my oldest sister – she’s been in my life for a while.
I’ve watched Heather scale mountains that seemed impossible to climb. I’ve watched her grow, grieve, raise these two beautiful boys, and be brave enough to find love again after she lost her loving, wonderful husband. Her story is one of courage, but not just because she carries on after devastating loss (a story I’ll let her tell, and one you can read about on her Instagram account here), but because Heather is never afraid to be her whole self no matter where she is, whose in her company, or what the circumstances are. She is fearless to be herself, to state her opinion when asked, yet she is gracious and mature enough not have to make her opinion known simply because she has one. Heather is just Heather, and it’s the greatest act of courage I have the privilege of witnessing.
I got to capture this season of Heather’s life recently during the dreamiest golden hour you’ve ever seen. It was filled with laughter and fun and maybe the most adorable little blazer ever in the history of earth. Check out her sneak peek below:
What do you think of all this golden-goodness? What about that sunset, huh? Leave a comment below and let me know what you think! I’d love to hear your thoughts 🙂
Let's be friends!
