I'm just your average Millennial, obsessed with staying home, binge-watching Parks & Rec and drinking all the Diet Coke in the house. I am a lover of Israel Diaz, female led businesses and long flowy dresses.
Welcome to my home on the internet where we talk life, theology, womanhood, marriage and work.
There’s not much in this world cuter than a cousin duo who both love each other like sisters. I guess that makes Phoebe and Ofelia just about the cutest pair in the world. Matching swimsuits? Check. Cute little ponies? Check. Sweet beach day fun? Check.
It’s so crazy to see baby Phoebe so grown up. I feel like it was just yesterday I was shooting her mom’s maternity session. One of the many sweet gifts of being a family photographer is that you get a front row seat to your clients’ happily ever afters. I got to see Phoebe’s story from before she’d made her way into the world, and now look at her – adorable tiny sun hat and everything? I can’t even deal.
These girls have fierce love for each other, and I got to document this really special and fleeting season of their lives: when they were young enough for matching swimsuits and only about a year after Ofelia had cut her own bangs. These are the moments their families will look back on – after Ofelia’s gotten herself some amazing job, and Phoebe’s off to college – that the whole family will gather around and say, “remember when…”
For now, they’re frozen in time in these various photographs, and I’m feeling extra thankful to get to serve this family by giving them something to hold onto so that they can remember best what this season of life felt like. We made sure to get some photos of Ofelia and her mom, because Megan just looked too good at 6:30am to not have her photo taken with her precious girl.
Here’s a sneak peek of their family beach session:
Have you ever thought about doing an extended family session? I know for me, a cousins session would be something the whole family would enjoy – but there are A LOT of us so it probably wouldn’t be ideal for us. Also, I’ll bet you didn’t know sunrise sessions could be so dreamy, huh? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! Until next time, friends!
