I'm just your average Millennial, obsessed with staying home, binge-watching Parks & Rec and drinking all the Diet Coke in the house. I am a lover of Israel Diaz, female led businesses and long flowy dresses.
Welcome to my home on the internet where we talk life, theology, womanhood, marriage and work.
I met Kirsten a few years ago during a bachelorette session for a friend of hers at this very same beach. Kirsten and her boys were in town on one of their regular visits to San Diego and we got to take some time out of their mini-vacay to snap some family photos at the beach.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for the beach and unfortunately what seemed like half of all San Diego residents thought so, too. The shore was PACKED with people. But when you live in a place as beautiful as San Diego, you get used to the crowds in all the best photo spots and you learn that the right angles can make a crowded location look like a hidden oasis and you’re the only people there.
I had so much fun dodging the crowd with the Kingsley family. Kirsten, Weston, and their three boys were a family full of life and joy. The boys were curious, ready to laugh and such great helpers during the session trying to make mom and dad laugh and even snapping a few photos of their siblings and parents. I’ve never seen brothers with as much love for each other as the Kingsley boys and I know that those relationships are often a result of the diligent work parents do to foster them.
Here is a little sneak peek of the Kingsley’s family session in La Jolla:
After a season full of strange cloudy days (and a hurricane!?), this session reminded me why I love working with families and the gift that beautiful portraits can be.
I hope you loved this sneak peek as much as I did! As always, I love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
Let's be friends!
