I'm just your average Millennial, obsessed with staying home, binge-watching Parks & Rec and drinking all the Diet Coke in the house. I am a lover of Israel Diaz, female led businesses and long flowy dresses.
Welcome to my home on the internet where we talk life, theology, womanhood, marriage and work.
You might recognize the beauty in today’s sneak peek. My sister-in-law, Celene was glowing when I met her for our sunrise session at Balboa Park. Cute as ever (and all belly), we walked the quiet streets of San Diego’s most dynamic park in hot and humid weather, but somehow Celene looked gorgeous throughout our entire session despite the fact that we were sweating the minute we got out of the car.
Celene decided on a solo shoot for her maternity session so it was just us girls (and my nephew who I am eagerly waiting to meet). While I love a good mom + dad feature, sometimes for one reason or another our partners either can’t make it, or they want the shoot to be about mom + baby, or their saving their modeling debut for the newborn session. Whatever the case may be, I think it’s important to know that solo maternity sessions can be just as magical!
We ventured to totally new corners of Balboa Park – corners I’d never slowed down long enough to discover – and I am so, so thrilled we did. The Spanish Art Village was a perfect match for Celene’s bohemian flower crown and dried flower arrangement, and the sleepy little corners we happened upon at the park were the perfect setting to get some of those classic, clean images that I love so much.
